OTENG -MENSAH LEARNING CENTRE

Welcome to the Oteng-Mensah Learning Center in Brodekwano. Brodekwano is a small town in the Bosomtwe District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana with a population of about 5000 people (2020 census).

The Learning Centre has been setup by the family and friends of the late Kwadwo Oteng Mensah who was a prominent citizen of the town. During his lifetime, he helped many of the natives of Brodekwano and members of his family to pursue opportunities in learning and career using his own resources.

It is obvious that Kwadwo Oteng-Mensah`s support and influence in helping people set Brodekwano apart from the other nearby communities in terms of educational standards, prosperity and improved standards of living. When he was alive, he agreed that his property in the town should be converted to a library/learning Centre for the town, but unfortunately, he did not see this come to fruition when he passed away in March 2019 at the age of 82.

After his death, his family has been able to convert the building into a learning center for the community and schools in the town. The Centre was commissioned in April 2022. The Center has a 40-seating capacity main library with books, a projector and a screen. It also has a 10-seater computer room, a 6- seater adult reading room and toilet facilities. The learning center is primarily funded with donations from family to keep the memory and continue the good works of this great philanthropist.
